ღ the plot
Truth or dare can be dangerous.
That's what four girls - Christy Matthews, Whitney Harper, Mackenzie Gordon and Elizabeth Hammel - learned that one afternoon. They didn't believe in magic or in the supernatural, not one bit. They didn't know, and they weren't supposed to.
"Christy!" "What?" "Your turn. Truth or dare?" "Uh...dare." "Okay. I dare you to go up to the fifth floor." "The what?"
And that's when it all started. Nobody was supposed to know about the fifth floor, especially not Randy Stewart. But apparantly, he'd heard people talking about it.
"Um, that's not such a good idea. Isn't it all boarded up?" "Yeah, Kenzie. Nobody knows what's up there. And we're not supposed to." "Randy, you're crazy." "Shut up, Whitney. I think it sounds like a great idea." "Of course you do, Elizabeth."
So, of course, Christy accepted. She dragged Elizabeth, Whitney and Kenzie with her. They walked up all four flights of stairs, until they got to the door, which had a metal chain and sign blocking it. They climbed over and tried opening the door. It was locked.
"What do we do now?" "Anyone have a paperclip?" "Christy, that's the stupidest trick in the book." "Liz, it might work." "Fine. Here's one."
So it was the stupidest trick in the book. But it worked. The lock wasn't exactly the best - a huge mistake on the staff's part. All four walked through the long hall until they finally saw...it.
Nobody besides those four (and the students up there) really know the details. But now these four girls know that the supernatural really does exist, and people are starting to get curious. Why are they so quiet, so secretive, so distant? What exactly did they see? Well, it's a given fact that most teenage girls aren't the best at keeping secrets - so how long do you really think these four girls will? Plus, there's the constant worry of the other, well, 'gifted' students. The ones who know about the floor, and the ones who are, well, supernatural. You'd think they'd know better, having to keep their secrets for just about their whole lives. But some of them really don't.
You think normal high school is crazy? Please. That's nothing compared to this.
